calendar ghost entries
Since about half a year there are ghost entries in the calendar-app. These entries seem to be related to correct calendar appointments from different calendars that I use (often google) and have the same date/time. The ghost entries only have a black label, do not have a title and can not be deleted.
Often there are three ghost entries for one correct appointment, but sometimes there are also more then five entries. All-day ghost entries are shown as 00:00-00:00. The ghost entries are not removed when the related correct appointment is deleted.
Does some know where these entries come from en how I can remove them? I'm always using the latest OS version. Thanks!
<-edit-> As stated in the comments, it is also most likely that the ghost entries are caused by the creation and removal of a caldav account.
Hi Arjon,
If you have developer-mode enabled can you do:
$ devel-su rm -rf /home/nemo/.local/share/system/privileged/Sync/gcal.ini
and then trigger sync with any Google account? That should remove any "orphan" events which originally came from a Google account.
To answer your question: they came from a bug in the Google calendar sync adapter code, where the notebook (calendar) was deleted on the local device as part of a sync operation despite being marked read-only. Due to its read-only status, the events were left behind, but the calendar itself gets deleted. From then on, the events are left "in limbo" unconnected to any valid calendar.
Have more ghost events appeared over time, or are you still seeing the same ones from half a year ago or whatever? If more are appearing, then there must still be a bug in the code somewhere which is causing the same thing to occur again.
Cheers, Chris.

Thanks for your response. I tried your solution, but it did (not yet) work for me. Is it possible that the orphan entries are not the result of my google-account, but by the owncloud/caldav-account i tried to use? I tried to migrate my calendar to owncloud, but sailfish was (not yet) up to that task. Therefor I deleted the account from my phone. Therefore I did not expect this to be related, but possibly I was wrong.
Is there a similar treatment for caldav/owncoud to remove the "in limbo" events?
Thanks in advanced! Arjon
