You can close with a swipe from the top in Sailfish 2.0 as well so I'm closing this. The other request to not require an additional tap to lock the screen is not reflected in the title so I'm ignoring it. Honestly, it's just as much work to swipe from the top inside an app and tap to lock the screen like it is now in Sailfish 2.0, than to swipe from the top or side of an app and then again from the top to lock the screen, as it was in earlier Sailfish. There's no real reason to close apps anyway.
