As far as I know, Jolla joined the Aptoide "Partners Program" (back in 2014) and has the possibility to add their own branding to the store (name, UI colours, icon). See here to learn more about it: https://www.aptoide.com/partners?lang=en So I assume the rebranding from "Aptoide" to "Store" happened on Jolla's initiative (not Aptoide's), since it's the by Jolla recommended Android app source.

also - as a personal opinion - if jolla spends time on changes like that there is something really wrong in terms of priorities.
