What is the difference between:

  • sync (37)
  • synchronisation (8)

There are also a lot of compounds with sync, e.g. activesync, desync, off-sync -- I would expect that all these could by umbrellaed by "sync". (However, more specific tags like rsync, firefox-sync, syncml may have to stay.)
