Current version of the web browser in Jolla doesn't support file upload functionality. If I click on the button it doesn't display file picker. This feature can be tested on this page.

I think issue is connected with missing system wide integrated file browser, so one can select a file for upload.

@zlatko We do have picker component we can internally use for this, we just haven't had enough time to do it yet. Picker is not a public API yet and therefore the issue that @jsiren mentions. Also there might be some functionality missing.

@veskuh Thank you for the explanation! :) We(I) understand that there are too many task, and too few people in Jolla team. For us(me) is just good to know that these features are on the road map and will be done when time comes. For now just concentrate mainly on stability and bugfixing :)

Yes, this is definitely quite high in our TODO list for the browser. To help us prioritize over other browser issues you can up vote this question.

Edit: This was released in 1.0.7.16 Saapunki, there is one feature missing though. The file picker only supports picking single file and some sites want multiple files. In these sites/cases the filepicker is not yet working. The file picker will be improved in future updates to allow uploading multiple files and allowing filtering based on file type.

According to the 1.0.8.19 release notes, multi-upload and file type filter are now working. Marking this one as [released].
