[regression] keyboard in android apps crashes

Hi there!

In some android apps (e.g. this one - Öffi) the on screen keyboard crashes reproducibly when entering text in a field that opens a suggestion box beneath it and then clicking on any of the suggestions. It says something like "remote keyboard has unfortunately been terminated". See here:

And then this funky shit happens:

You can swipe down on the ghost keyboard to hide it and it comes back to normal when clicking on any input field. But this definitely did not happen before 1.1.7.

i had this same problem with the newest ebay.kleinanzeigen.app can anybody reproduce the failure?

Same issue here since 1.1.7.28, only in BVG-Fahrinfo. I also tried it in Öffis. It was the same.

happens to me with Öffi as well...

workaround: after closing the error message box tap the 3 dots on the left of the input field "Endpunkt" and close the dialog again by tapping anywhere outside it - now the keyboard will appear again. (and of course crash again...)
