User defined wallpaper/ambience is annoyingly visible on the edges of the screen when viewing full screen pictures from gallery or straight from the camera app. Edit: If you look carefully, there is about 1 millimetre wide stripe on the edge of the screen.

Edit: still present in 1.1.0.39.
Edit2: still present in 1.1.1.26.
Edit3: still present in 1.1.2.15
Edit4: still present in 1.1.4.29
Edit5: still present in 1.1.6.27
Edit6: still present in 1.1.7.27

Only noticed this thanks to late88's post by testing it with strongly red Ambiance. On my screen this is visible only on one edge of the screen (the side with power and volume controls). Not even 1mm in thinkness, maybe half on that. Still its clearly there and annoying now that I've noticed it.

Also when browsing through full screen pictures, they are faded for a moment so the wallpaper is seen through (can be annoying). I think there should be an option for black background in Gallery app. For example when watching 4:3 videos I'd like to see black borders, not parts of the wallpaper.

It seems the picture is just not well centered. It is 2-3 pixels moved to left.

On the right side there's the stripe of the ambiance background. If you try to move the picture to the right, you will notice there was a stripe of the picture with the same width hidden on the left side.

I have this same issue, but for me there's this 2-3px gap on the top and bottom of the screen.

This seems to be fixed in 1.1.9.28! Great!

Not in landscape mode, it seems!

I tested it with 100% brightness, strong red ambience with high contrast difference in the pictures and I still wasn't able to see the ambience at all. Both portrait and landscape. If you disagree, please provide a screenshot so I can open this issue again.

Here you go, the ambience is visible at the right. https://metacrane.com/f/n/53835/20150909221748.png

The link only work for 56 hours, you can rehost it somewhere else if you want to though.

Huge bump, surprise surprise, this issue is back in Sailfish 2.2.0.29! Pictures are, yet again, not aligned correctly with the screen.

Edit: Nevermind, my issue is a different one. This one has been fixed.

can you provide a new screenshot? I can't see this behavior no matter which size of picture or how I orient the phone.

I'll try to get a good screenshot tomorrow. This is on a Jolla 1, by the way. It's possible the issue is not present on other devices (or just not visible due to the much higher resolution).

Oh, I misremembered this issue and didn't properly reread it. It's actually not the ambience that's showing through, but the border of the next picture. I should probably open a new issue for that, although it may actually never have been fixed in the first place.
