[possible bug] Camera app gallery handling

I've been trying to figure out how the camera app really handles the gallery. You can check out the pics straight from the camera app and if you just want to check the latest shot and go back to the live view of the camera, things just work fine. But if you leave the camera app running and want to take another photo at a later time, I always have to shut down the camera app and restart it to take another shot. Perhaps it's just me, but I really couldn't figure out how to go back to the camera live view from the pics. Browsing back only takes me to older pictures.
It's not new, I have this difficulty/problem already for months and I always keep my phone updated.
Yep, I've noticed the same thing. When I take a photo and swipe right to see the latest photo, and then by left swipe I get back to camera live view. But if I leave camera on and come back later, or just wait more than 10s that left swipe doesn't take me back to camera, it takes me to gallery to see older photos. Weird! Now I'm in 1.1.6.27, but I've noticed this a while ago.
