This persists even after a couple of power off/power on cycles

try to call again to your voicemail and listen a little bit. After this icon should disappear.

Can you clear it from the notifications panel (bottom swipe)?

@schturman

I did! I listened to the entire message before clearing it and the icon remained. Looking at it again 10 or 11 hours later it now seems to have gone at last!

@Pornis

Can't try that now, I'm afraid, since it's no longer there, although I think I tried that among other things. Maybe it's just that EE have been taking ages to send a clearance signal or whatever they do after you respond to a notification

I ran into this problem too . And I can't listen to this message since my sim card is gone... The voice mail notification exists for years... Have no idea how to clean it

That's funny... In over 5 years of using Sailfish, I didn't know there even was such an icon. I have the voicemail number added in the Phone settings of course, but when I have voicemail I get an sms from my carrier.

It’s displayed in the form of a notification actually, but this notification is a special one , there’s no close button available, and cleaning all notifications from system menu won’t help. I did a device restore in order to get rid of this , still not working . I wonder where did Sailfish developer store the notification info , might be stored in hardware ?
