It appears the device does not automatically connect to known wifi networks when they come within reach (e.g., when you get home) until it is woken up by double tapping the screen (no need to actually unlock, though).

Whit the latest version 1.0.8.19 of Sailfish, there is a major avolution in the connection with WIFI or mobil network. But there are still problems. When I use my phone on my bicycle and I chose for mobile connection, the phone continue to ask for the wifi where he find a wifi connection. I suggest that he only need to connect with wifi when there is a known connection (with known password) Ore waiting longer before asking for a another connection?

It is not a feature, but a bug that it does this, and will be fixed in a future update.

Isn't it a feature that it doesn't waste battery trying to find the right network until you actually use it? AFAIK switching between networks can be very costly battery-wise. I believe there is a setting where you can choose only to sync on WLAN.

lomo ( 2014-01-04 22:48:09 +0300 )editThat is weird. The functionality described works for me. When I activate WIFI and Mobile networking the data connection switches between the two connections automatically. I only have setup my home WIFI hotspot but this works perfect.
