I'm working in implementing system-wide add block for Jolla phone using dnsmasq. Tought it works and save my money by not downloading add content using the mobile data I pay for, when I'm on wifi my phone displays "limited connectivity" in the settings app. This sucks because some Android apps think there's no internet connectivity in this situation.

I guess I'm blocking connections to a server the phone uses to test connectivity, so this is the question: how does Jolla phone know it has internet access?
