Extract ".vcf" file from "Backup.tar" ?
Hi
Someone know if I can somehow to extract "all.vcf" file from "Backup.tar" file ?
I extracted "Backup.tar" in windows, but I can't find this file here :(
My phone is dead and I need my contacts at least...
The "Backup.tar" file include only .git folder and .vault.state file... It DON'T have .vault folder with People folder...
Schturman ( 2015-08-08 02:30:39 +0300 )edit.vault is the backup folder itself, so do you have People folder in your tar? (by the way, convert this into a comment selecting "more > repost...")
simo ( 2015-08-08 09:00:21 +0300 )editNo, I don't have People folder in tar file, such as all other like Accounts, Browser, Gallery etc... not here... I did full backup one day before my phone dead...
Schturman ( 2015-08-08 22:16:45 +0300 )editLike I wrote before the "Backup.tar" file include only .git folder and .vault.state file.
.git folder include some different folders, but no one of them include the "all.vcf" file.
Then you had an issue during the original backup (.vault directory on phone missing/empty) or you have tarred a wrong folder / picked a wrong .tar... Can you still reach your phone folders via recovery mode to find it again, or did you already do a factory reset?
simo ( 2015-08-09 00:04:17 +0300 )editI did all as usual from backup app in the phone. It finished full backup and I just chosen "copy to ext. SD". Now I transferred this .tar file to PC and extracted it...
Schturman ( 2015-08-09 00:23:13 +0300 )editI can't access to the phone in any way.. It's just dead, no recovery mode, nothing... Phone not react at all...
Only when I connect charger without battery inside the phone, yellow led blinking once...
I was thinking maybe it encrypted in the tar file and I just need to now how to extract it, but probably no... Something wrong here...
Thanks for trying to help...
