[idea] sync settings between SailfishOS devices (phone and tablet)

People use several devices to do everyday tasks nowadays. As the Jolla tablet is arriving, a question hit my mind: Having the same Sailfish OS on more devices I use, why should I have the same software but different settings in my right hand than in my left hand?

It would be awesome while using the Jolla phone, every typical data and settings would be available on the tablet too.

The following will likely happen due to google account sync (or CALDAV): - phone numbers - email numbers - email messages - calendar entries

But it would be nice if Jolla could provide an API in SailfishOS for app developers to sync and store settings of apps within a Jolla account. This way my e-book would continue from the same page, my weather forecast app would have the same cities added, my notes would be available on every Sailfish device, my navigation would know what are my saved destinations, etc. I would even like if my alarm clock would have the same settings when My phone / tablet is with me.

Additionally a native (global) cloud service would be nice to access files downloaded on one device, on another. This feature is still missing.

If we talk smart, I want really smart!

For synchronizing I really love the system of syncthing. No third party server to rely on, just setup the connection between two computers. But a native WebDAV integration might help also.

I would like to have all my apps on both devices - over the air/wifi, automatically via jolla store... Is there any chance to see this soon?
