Missing UI
I am on 1.1.7.25. I re-booted my phone this morning and when it started again I can see the background wallpaper but there are no UI elements. I can double tap to wake the phone but there is no pulley menu, no date/carrier text, cant swipe to anything (apps or notifications)
- I can receive calls and the UI for the phone appears as normal, but on ending the call all the UI disappears.
- I get the message tone when receiving an SMS but no UI.
The last thing I installed, the night before, was Dolphin Keyboard Core and Dolphin Keyboard English+ and everything seemed fine afterwards.
1.1.7.25 was looking good, it was a lot more stable. I hadn't realised until now that it was quite a while since I last had to reboot.
Any help please.
Do you have developer mode enabled? If so ssh to your phone and post reply of the following commands:
df -h
devel-su btrfs fi show
Maybe you already see which direction I'm facing: Your filesystem might be full and/or unbalanced.
V10lator ( 2015-08-13 11:12:02 +0300 )editI will try this when I get home, although I did a factory reset last month and I don't think I've re-enabled developer mode. Doh!
Thanks for the help though, I will let you know how I get on.
pseudoscion ( 2015-08-13 11:16:20 +0300 )edittoday sailorgram the app was almost invisible on my jolla. swiping it away rest was fine. i had to restart it to make it 'normal visible' so could it be related to brightness? i am running 1.1.17. this occured the first time.
pawel ( 2015-08-13 23:54:29 +0300 )editI have exactly the same issue: When I start my phone, all I see is the background-image. There is no possibility to see anything from the GUI. No icon, no lockscreen, just the background-image. Otherwise the phone works as it should be: I get calls, I can hear the beep when recieving new mails, I can ssh to the device... So I'm back to a real unix-experience -- do everything from the command line ;-)
nelbrog ( 2015-08-14 09:23:55 +0300 )editV10lator: Unfortunately I haven't re-enable developer mode.
reply of df -h
/ # df -h Filesystem Size Used Available Use% Mounted on none 402.8M 0 402.8M 0% /dev none 10.0M 0 10.0M 0% /tmp none 256.0K 8.0K 248.0K 3% /var/run
nelbrog: what version of the OS are you on?
I will try a factory reset if no one else has any alternative suggestions.
Thanks for the help
