Hello everyone!

Sorry if this was already proposed, but don't we really need "sticky questions" functionality here on TJC? Threads like announcements, release notes, "don't post bugs as answers" and other important ones really need this. I mean user base don't get smaller and it becomes much more easier every day to miss important info.

We already have these, just with a small learning curve, right on the default front page. Maybe some promotion (e.g. on moderator comments) might be useful to get everybody aware of them, and how to take advantage of them.

Featured tags

  • Roadmap Questions tagged by Jolla in a meaning the issue has been taken under internal planning
  • Announcement Official posts
  • Update Sailfish OS system update related posts
  • Guidelines For example how to ask, answer and comment etc.

Tracked questions

  • Right below the featured tags, list of questions taken into internal tracker at Jolla, divided into 3 subcategories by their current development stage

Tag search

  • Perfect way to select "your own" sticky list

Note: Using all these requires a view with visible side panel. Side panel gets hidden on smaller screen width, for example on some mobile devices, so maybe this is not the best possible solution after all.

i'm not talking about tracking question but showing important questions to a random user. So when one openes TJC, he sees it right in the center of his screen. It is much more user friendly to "stick" needed questions rather than just taging it as announcment or official or important or whatever, since those questions often don't get any comments and will drop down the questions list rather quickly. And amount of reported bugs as answers to release notes shows just how everyone can ignore guidlines
