Occasionally garbled sound when answering call

Sometimes when answering a call the sound is completely garbled. Neither party can make out anything. It's almost like it would use the wrong codec or something for the audio. I haven't noticed a specific pattern for when this happens.
SailfishOS version 1.1.6.27
I remember I experienced this every once in a while on previous phones (Nokia). I don't think I had it on the Jolla so far. Maybe it's a network issue that doesn't depend much on the hardware used?
