I understand that, unlike the tablets ordered during crowdfunding, the preordered units are shipping from Finland. In this case, VAT for orders to VAT registered purchasers in EU must be reverse charged, that is, not included in the invoice. I seem to understand that this cannot be done. Is this the case? If it is, why does not the Jolla Shop comply to EU regulations, and is it planned to fix this non-compliance as soon as possible? Please note that this is a showstopper for corporate purchases, since it requires to pay an undue tax to purchase the tablet (or the Jolla phone for that matter, but at least that one can be purchased through Amazon that correctly applies reverse charge or issues invoices in the destination country for subsequent VAT deduction).

Full pre-order price will be charged at checkout. By placing the pre-order, you accept the delivery times stated on the product pages. The Jolla Tablet pre-order cannot be combined with a purchase of any other Jolla product. * Displayed prices include VAT 24%. Final price will be calculated at checkout based on your shipping country.

The VAT will match your country, but I don't know can you get VAT exemption as company and how that would work.

AFAIK none of the tablet units are shipped from Finland, but from china/hongkong or similar location. But I might be wrong of course. As devices are shipped from outside EU there is no reverse charge option.

That would be good since in this case VAT could be deducted. Usually, however, VAT is charged at the customs and paid for by the recipient himself, normally to the carrier that presents the package to the customs for clearance, who pays it in advance on behalf of the recipient. I don't know if there is a way to have the sender pay for it, since it's the recipient's duty.
