I see below as a major issue but not sure how this can be solved. So please vote this if you agree. stuff like this should be solved IMHO.

I know there may be similar discussions about this already but this question is related to silica ui in general and not X/Y application because I see "bug" as an silica UI issue and not something that need to be "fixed" in one app and left in another.

This time a talk about swipe back/forward in application when content is zoomed like in a webbrowser or gallery application. More exacly when content is zoomed there is no way to navigate/backward in page stack.

you can't even do this by adding a pulley menu item with "goback"/goforward. For example see my tiny webbrowser app. The only solution is to "zoom out fully" before you can call pageStack.navigateBack()/forward and zoom out is only possible by user interaction. This issue is also shown in jolla gallery app.

Possible solution? would be: when user reaches end of "content.x", delay 1 sec then activate "navigateBack()/navigateForward()" signals... as it is implemented now in webkit you just get a "white area" when reach end of webcontent. and in gallery app nothing happens..

Its kinda hard to describe exact how I mean this could be solved, but I hope you get my idea :)

You should add the solution as an answer to your own question, so that users can vote on the best solution.

Also I added the tag "bug", since I see this as a (major) bug.

Yes it would be good if there was another way to go back/forward that didn't require the zoon-out first .

And, please add your possible solution as answer to.this question, so that it can be voted..

Closing as this is essentially a duplicate of this this question albeit worded in a more general sense.

I think the way it should behave is that when you reach the edge you have the stop like today. But if you redo the pull motion the "navigateBack()/navigateForward()" signals are sent. Just like how you engage the pulley menu now.

@Milhouse It is ok to respond to a question like this how it could be implenented / designed / prefered. This way we can vote for the best answer when there are optional ways to solve.an issue.

@Milhouse also, giving such ultimatums makes it look like you are acting in role of police here ;)

How is offering an opinion to be viewed as an answer? It's just comment. Your comment can still be voted up if it's any good but offering it as an "answer" totally skews any stats as this question remains unanswered - all it now has is someones "opinion" masquerading as an answer.

And no I'm not the Police, but this place is going to go to shit unless opinion, comment and outright waffle masquerading as answers are removed! :)

Please reconsider if your "answer" is really substantive and definitive - if it's not, it's just comment, adding to the discussion but not bringing it to any form of resolution.

@jjaone - I voted up your comment (the second one in reply to this "answer") just to show that if a comment has merit, you can vote on it - you don't need to post an "idea" as an answer just to attract votes.
