Add "mark as junk" to email pulley menu [duplicate]

Hello, it would be nice if the jolla email client could mark email a junk/spam in email header "via pulley menu" (and show them then in an own junk/spam folder). Other email clients (may be server also) use the email header tag and handle marked email as junk/spam. The next step could be a junk or spam filter interface at the email client (but this would be a bigger change).

I think it would be better to add shortcut to move a message to Spam folder. It should work with most IMAP mailboxes and clients.

It would also be useful to have user-configurable list of such folders. I try to keep Inbox empy and currenly to move email to Archive I need to: swipe right to exit mail view, locate message I've just closed in the list, press and hold, select "move to", locate and select Archive. Same sequence of actions to move it to Spam. It's not very convinient.

@tortoisedoc : you are right. I think delete email and mark as junk should use the same user actions (but with different backround mecanism). So junk marked emails are (normaly) moved to a junk folder and are taged in the header. So email server and other email clients recognize marked emails and handle them as they are configured (filter, black and white list, ...).

Marking something as junk has little value, if you don't have a mechanism that would use the same reason for marking future message (such as blocking the sender in MS Outlook) or could learn from your action and the overall contents of the message (like Thunderbird would do as far as I know). Having something like that should be implemented first. Until that exists, marking as junk has usually no more value than deleting the message.

@mvuori you are right. But only if you are see the phone side stand alone.

Marking a email as junk can also iniciate the email server to do something (if they have there junk mechanism configured). Also an other email client (as thunderbird) use the flag to move or delete the junk email (if configure). And the primary benefit is that the server and/or other email client are able to "learn" what junk is.

So for me it makes a difference at my working environmet. My server will move a junk marked email to an other folder and i did not have it in my inbox all the time until i use an other email client or the web frontend at the email server.

But as i wrote at my answer any comments should go to the other tread (https://together.jolla.com/question/64906/email-client-capability-to-mark-email-as-spam/). I cloesd this tread.

Thanks
