Is 1.9. out for early adopters? [answered]

What is everyone talking about? I can't see a new update and I think I'm on the early adopter train. Did I miss anything? I can hardly bear the excitement. ;-)

No, but you can set your version to 1.1.9.27 and do a version --dup. Works just fine.

No, it isn't currently. The latest RCs are in the public repositories though, and that's why many people are talking about it.

The first Early Access release is going to be released really soon, according to the latest news, and it won't be 1.1.9.27.

I'd say it is best to wait some days. While upgrading to these RC releases is generally safe (I'm doing that since 1.1.2) you must know what you're doing. And, FWIW the upgrade process that version -dup does is not the same as the one done by the Store client (for one, 3rd-party repositories aren't disabled if I remember correctly).
