SFOS2 - new "ambiance and device lock drawer" should work like a pulley menu!

If you perform a top to bottom swipe in sfos2 you are presented the new shutter like ambiance and device-lock drawer expanding to the bottom.

I want the first 5 Items of the drawer/slider to be a pulley menu. Pulling would select the corresponding item when it gets visible and instantly call the action on release. To lock the device it would only be necessary to pull the drawer a little until the lock is visible and release to lock.

EDIT, changed from "want this whole drawer" to "want the first 5 Items".

That would only work if you have very few ambiences and I think it would make changing ambience/locking the screen a lot more complicated. (What would you do for ambiences with no name, or ambiences with the same name? How would you know which is which?)

I guess it would work sufficiantly if you limit the function to the top 4 ambiances that fit on one fully expanded screen height . So, 5 "pulley points" including the locker first. If you scroll further (down outside screen area), the pulley function would need to disapear and a tap to select is necessary/possible.

If you just pull through or flick from the top, it will expand completely like it does now. If you do not hit a pulley item for some reason, it will also expand all items like it does now.

Then you will get people asking 'where are my other ambiences, why can I only choose between the top 4 ambiences, please fix'. Also, pulley menus generally don't work with a swipe from the top, so this would probably just make things confusing.

@juiceme: 2.0 has 12 preconfigured ambiences, 13 if you include the TOH's ambience.

@nthn, think of it as an addition. Everything stays the same, only the first 5 items have pulley capability while you pull slowly and get selected on release. If you do not release or do not hit (newbies) or do a flick it will expand like it does now. All other ambiances are below the top 4 (which fill the visible screen anyway) and need to be scrolled to be visible right now, nothing would change. Only a feature on top.
