I just installed new version of Sailfish Eineheminlampi. Works well, but I miss clock on home screen. And I can't find anywhere indicators of cellular signal strength, data connection, battery and connection type (2G/3G/4G). Only empty background or list of open programs are on my screen ?

They should be in a small bar at the top (like where they would be on Android or iOS), however they only appear when you are at the top of the list of covers. Are they not there in your case?

Same for me - no clock, battery and signal strength indicator.

Finally, I've done a factory reset, and now, it works fine. I think it's the best solution if you want to everything works fine, it's well worth in my opinion

Why is this question closed? I'm still experiencing this bug. After some days of normal usage, the status bar disappears, and the only way to "fix" it, is to reboot the phone. Is there anybody looking at the root cause? Thanks.

I believe I found the actual method how the status bar disappears: it just gets shifted down for some reason. So this looks like a layout bug, and hopefully it can be fixed now.

Running 2.0.1.11 and this just happened: image description

check what patches you use, maybe one of them cause this bug...

Schturman ( 2016-06-06 00:25:02 +0300 )edit

I haven't used any patches for a while now. I do have patches and patchmanager installed, but none of the patches are enabled. So it can't be the patches...

And also, the occurrace is random. Sometimes at boot (like today), sometimes after longer uptime...

Well, still alive and kickin' in Fiskarsinjoki 2.0.4.14. Fortunately, it almost every time goes away when I shut down my Jolla, and wait a few minutes, and then turn it back on, and enter my lock code and pin code before the screen timeouts and goes black. If not, retry.

This is an ongoing issue with Jolla C - see: https://together.jolla.com/question/138770/jolla-c-home-screen-no-battery-and-other-indicator-symbols/

My guess is that the root cause is the same in both devices (aka it's in the code).

Just right. Thats my case: There's nothing at the top of the list of covers.

BUT: Problem solved. I shut down my phone and started again. Now the icons are top of screen on program-list page and notifications page.

Reboot did not resolve the issue for me, but

pkcon get-updates
pkcon update

as devel-su in the terminal resolved it.

So, I'm guessing this topic can be closed now if both of you have resolved your issues (and @carmenfdezb )?

raketti ( 2015-09-11 21:12:24 +0300 )edit

@raketti, it's resolved for me

carmenfdezb ( 2015-09-12 07:28:27 +0300 )edit

Ok, closing this one. There was a new question about the same issue and reboot solved that one too, so choosimg the answer as correct. :)
