Email app: cover shows number of unread mails in currently selected folder

If you have multiple folders in your email inbox, the cover of the email app will only show the number of unread emails in the folder that is currently selected in the email app. This is absolutely bad because if you are expecting new messages in multiple folders, the app gives you the false sense of having received no emails in any folders. So you have to go in and manually check all folders, which is a big hassle.
Here's my suggestion:
- User should be able to select which folders to sync, and they should be synced automatically
- App cover should show the total number of unread emails in all the synced folders of all accounts
Conversely, I only care about the Inbox unread count, messages arriving in other folders are relatively unimportant. People may also have lots of folders, so even querying all of them may not be a good default. This probably calls for a "check these folders for new messages" in account settings.
sp3000 ( 2013-12-25 16:28:01 +0300 )edit@sp3000 It is okay if it doesn't sync all the folders by default, but when I select some folders for syncing, I definitely want to see messages in them among the unread messages count. Having a setting for deciding it also OK.

This is by design not a bug, please try to distinguish suggestions from bugs when possible, it's easier to track. What's you suggestion ? you also refer folder subscriptions(there's already submitted suggestion for that).
