[feature request] 1.1.9.28 Android notifications: don't wake up the screen
Now in 1.1.9.28 the Android notifications wake up the phone screen for every notification. It naturally uses more battery this way, so I would hope that this was an option the user could select to have. I personally would prefer only the sound and LED for Android notifications, I don't want or need to see every Telegram/Whatsapp/whatever notification on the screen when it arrives.
Did you try only Android? It seems regular incoming SMS also does wake up the display. This is a waste of energy because we already have the led to indicate incoming messages.
Worse: it briefly displays the incoming message. In case of short messages like "are you alone?" or "also bored at work?" bystanders have more than time enough to read it.
Even worse: it also does this when the phone is supposed fully locked with lock code enabled.
Privacy options should go beyond "we promise not to sellout to NSA"
