Aviary, the Android photo app, cannot save photos

Aviary fails to save edited photos, and won't save successfully to either the virtual sdcard or to the $HOME/Pictures folder. Sometimes it creates a file, but the file seems to be broken. My guess is that this is due to a bug in the implementation of the android VM environment.
