Phone rebooted, using media player or CuteSpot. The lock screen controls pop up as expected, but when I close the app the controls stay, only disappearing after a reboot. They don't really bother me, but I don't think this is the expected behaviour.

Closing CuteSpot and opening Media App and then closing it removes the media controls from the lock screen.

But as said by @r0kk3rz, this is an issue with CuteSpot so a bug report should be opened in its github branch.

This might be an issue with how CuteSpot implements MPRISv2, as this doesn't happen with all players.

I suggest you contact the developer of CuteSpot for investigation.

EDIT: @lukedirtwalker, I think the problem is that CuteSpot doesnt register itself properly. Will try and submit a pull request as it should only be 2 lines.

After Cutespot is closed I can still see the media controls on lockscreen, but they disappear when the "unlock arrow" disappears or if I unlock the phone.

@r0kk3rz thanks for tagging me, did you have time to look into this? What are your findings? What should I change? Thanks

@lukedirtwalker - I did, at first I couldn't find where you were registering the DBus interface, but then I found it. So it might have something to do with the fact that you're calling it in a library rather than the main function, but presumably the library is statically linked in?

Aside from that, you appear to be doing everything I am doing in SirenSong, which works fine.

@r0kk3rz thanks for the info. The library is compiled into the application and not separately. It might be that I have to unregister the object or something. I will try to figure it out.

@lukedirtwalker I haven't had to do anything like that, and it seems to JustWorkTM.
