Hi Sailors,

I wanted to update to the latest version 1.1.9/Eineheminlampi. But the phone seems not to boot after update.

When pressing power button it shows the Jolla Logo and white LED but next it shows black screen an nothing happen.

I can enter the Jolla Recovery Tool, I've wanted to do step "Reset device to factory state", but first I would like to copy Backup to PC. How to do that, or does somebody have an other solution to boot phone?

Thanks.

How long did you wait ? Maybe a filesystem check was running which might take a while.

For backing up if you know a little linux shell commands and have a micro sd card that you can use for the backup (has enough free space to save everything) you can enter the shell mode in the recovery and use dd to make the backup of the mmcblk0p28 device to your mounted microsd card. If you don't know what I am talking about then you might not want to try that :P

Thanks for response.

I did a backup before installing the 1.1.9 update. Could you tell me please where it has been saved?

Hi, instructions to backup data while in recovery mode are here. The detailed article about recovery mode is here.

@Sthocs

Thank you for help. Found this already.

Phone is working now with current update 1.1.9 [Eineheminlampi], but data is gone.

I've also did an *.img backup of whole phone (like written by pan tau, here: https://together.jolla.com/question/81832/full-phone-backup-guide/) and mounted it by putty. Unfortunately I can't access (directory seems to be empty) to: /home/nemo/android_storage, when enter directory /home nothing is in there.

Does somebody know a solution for that or wasn't /android_storage saved to *.img file?
