Some apps lack identification when the OOM has killed them. The screenshot below has two such apps in the bottom right corner. First one is an Android app (which Jolla can't be blamed for) and the second is the native Documents app. I've seen the same behaviour with the native clock app as well. I expect the native apps to have some sort of icon in the killed state so one can identify them.

My preferred solution would be for the app icon to be displayed in the top left corner of the app cover on the home screen. It would make it much easier to find the right cover.
The two 'empty' covers seem to be another problem, but at least with the icons you could identify which cover belongs to which app.

The identification on most applications is that there are no longer any cover actions showing.
nthn ( 2015-09-26 12:25:53 +0300 )editI'm not sure if this is directly related to OOM handling. As your screenshot shows, applications killed in OOM conditions get somewhat "greyish" and lose their cover actions. Maybe it's something else that created these empty covers.
ossi1967 ( 2015-09-26 19:53:42 +0300 )editIt's due to the applications being killed they are empty. Some apps retain some sort of identification, such as icon when they are killed but those I mentioned are completely blank.
