[1.1.9.28] Please reintroduce ambience fade out between home screen and app launcher

One of the things that I found appealing about the earlier Sailfish 1.x UI was the elegant way that the ambience background scrolled between each of the lock screen, home screen and app launcher, and then finally faded out gradually as you moved into the app launcher.

I assume that there is very little chance now of having scrolling backgrounds coming back, but would it be possible to retain some of the, umm, ambience by having the black background of the app launcher gradually fade in through the ambience background as you scroll the app launcher into view?

(Having said that, I like the new little gripper which now brings the app launcher into view. Perhaps a way to combine these would be to initially have only a sliver of the black of the app launcher background visible (equal to the height of the darker grey part of the gripper) and then fade in the rest of the black over the ambience background as you scroll the app launcher further up the screen?)

Yes, that would be very great! But honestly I would prefer to see my ambience permanent behind the app grid. Darker, but not black. That was great in earlier OS versions (0.9.x.x I think).

Up vote for showing the background image behind the app grid like it was. Plain black is ugly and not in line with the rest of the design (Keep staying the hell away from the flat fad, pretty please.)

Using the ambience background would definitely add some extra flair to an otherwise beautiful user experience. A sliding background would be better but a static one would do.

Sliding the background upwards when activating the "first four" apps would be nice.

I didn't like the old launcher turning black, but even it would be better than just the black background it has now.

What I would prefer is the background being there all the time and if it has to wade, make it so it doesn't entirely fade to blackness if there are many applications.
