Back on 1.1.7.x, version 1.1.9.x is made for a tablet [duplicate]
I am back on version 1.1.7.x. On the Jolla phone the carousel approach in the 2.0 UI is really not a progress. The up and down approach form version 1.1.7.x works a lot nices and smoother on the Jolla telephone. So I think they need to build a new option where the user can choose from a telephone style (up/down) or tablet style (carousel). And this has nothing todo with get used to it. The way of 1.1.7.x is more logical on a telephone (outside swipe up to see notification, with thumb up form lock screen to home screen to apps screen (without replacing your thumb).
I really hope the guys and girls from Jolla will implementing this option. If not, I not think the Jolla phone (or Sailfish) is so unlike anymore.
No one has the same opinion?

raketti ( 2015-09-29 15:28:17 +0200 )edit@richdb I have to agree (unfortunately). Sailfish 2.0 is like Android 3.0 Honeycomb - made for tablets, but in this case forced on a phone instead of the great Sailfish 1.0 phone experience.
I'm sure v2.0 will be great on the tablet, but I wonder who came up with the idea to put it on a phone.
nodevel ( 2015-09-29 15:35:57 +0200 )editI also prefer "old" style but that's not so critical to push me on downgrading.
SergeiStPete ( 2015-09-29 15:45:11 +0200 )edit@richdb: I agree as well and am seriously thinking about downgrading until until next release. I've tried SfOS 2 long enough now to find that I will not adapt to it as well as I did to SfOS 1. The latter worked for me almost instantly, coming from Meego->Android->WP and while still not getting the same flow in SfOS 2 after two weeks I've given up.
