For my Gmail account the email app doesn't fetch messages older than 21st november, even if I scroll to the bottom of the list and choose "Get more emails" from the pulley menu on the bottom. It would be very important for me, especially to be able to search between all the messages in my inbox.

What happens instead is that the listview scrolls up a bit, no further messages are loaded than 21st november.

I would also appreciate a sync option called sync everything which would automatically fetch all my messages instead of having to click on "Get more emails" a dozen times.

Are you using the google account or you configured the account via "Email" plugin(the one we need to add all settings) ?

OK, not aware of such problems, will try to reproduce. Thanks.

I tried this out and fetched emails from my gmail account back to June 1st but stopped there 'cause the phone started to work pretty slow with the long list with emails. Don't know how far I would have got if I would have continued?

Our oauth2 key does not allow to retrieve items older than it's creation date, configuring a normal email account via IMAP allows to retrieve emails older than this date via "get more messages" Nothing can be done here from our side.

Couldn't you set it up as an IMAP account "under the hood", instead of using OAuth2?

Not without showing Google consent and Google authentication page, so would be the same as Google provider.

So why not do it?

No point in do anything here, there are options, there's branding involved that limits what can be done, once search on server is implemented you can get old messages, if almost one year old messages are so important :)

@VDVsx Okay, I understand.
