Inconsistent Lockscreen Animation
It would appear that depending on the lock state of the device a few different combinations of "lock screen wake up" animation will occur.
Device Settings:
- Device Lock Delay 5 min
- LPM Mode Enabled via mce-tool
Situation 1
Action:
- Device unlocked and on home screen
- Single press power button to put phone into standby
- Single Press Power button to wake up
Result:
- Screen Fade in occurs
- Clock animates in from top
- Arrows animate in from the sides
Situation 2
Action:
- Device unlocked and on home screen
- Single press power to put phone into standby
- Wait 5min for lock timer to expire
- Single press power button to wake up
Result:
- Screen Fade in occurs
- Clock animates in from top
- No arrows visible on screen
Additional Notes
This doesn't seem to happen every time, and I note that the arrows are on a timer and only show briefly so it might have something to do with how they are initially triggered, or the animation duration
Situation 3
Action:
- Device unlocked and on home screen
- Double press power to put phone into standby and instant lock
- Single press power button to wake up
Result:
- Instant screen on occurs, no fade in
- Clock already on screen, no animation
- No arrows on screen
Additional Notes
The feel of the initial 'swipe to unlock' gesture feels different between Situation 1 and Situation 2. Situation 1 leads to a full screen fade out, and Situation 2 leads to a page transition. Also the length of how far you need to swipe for an unlock to occur seems to be different, with the gesture in Situation 1 needing to be further to successfully unlock than Situation 2.
There seems to be something fishy with your phone. I got 2/3 with arrows (didn't try to wait for timer since I have it set up for 30min). So, can't reproduce this bug.
raketti ( 2015-09-30 20:56:14 +0300 )edit@raketti, what about the other animation from Situation 3? or are Situations 1 and 3 identical for you?
r0kk3rz ( 2015-09-30 21:01:19 +0300 )editin 3rd situation i get normal behaviour with clock animation
i must say that i do have low power mode turned on (or whatever it's called, it's when you have clock on screen on black screen). So, when clock is being shown on black screen and you turn on the screen, there is no clock animation (which i like) and no arrows (which i don't like)
virgi26 ( 2015-09-30 21:17:36 +0300 )editDon't worry, there is a patch at OR to disable the animation.
inte ( 2015-09-30 21:19:20 +0300 )edit@virgi26 i also have LPM enabled, but even if there's no LPM screen on during the 3rd situation i have no animations at all.
