Hi TJC,

i remark last time that by a lots of discussions about the carousel.
There are lots of references to a different gui-part of it, and especially of one.
And this what i mean is an under elements of carousel which contain the events or the home, the partner space.
Much people speak about this elements with their creativity. That's not bad but there are so much different word s that comes, and we don't know what/which elements we are talking about at the end.

I wanted just to ask if there is already a specific name of it., that all dev and design and us (user) could use so that every one know what we talking about and nothing else.

I use my self "Panel" (carousel-Panel), i saw i one article "view" (carousel-view), I saw "site" (carousel-site), could it be "space"? (carousel-space, partner-space, event-space, home-space)...

I tried to find in each article from jolla that i read about design, and there are no specific name...
I tell me how speak jolla about it to the developer? who need to works in details.

Thanks for understanding, and have a good sail

There's no prefix for those, see the description from the jolla blog:

New User Interface:

  • Home is now a carousel. Swipe to cycle between Home and Events
  • App Grid can be accessed from anywhere in the OS (even from inside an app) by swiping up from the bottom edge
  • Swipe down from the top edge of the screen to open Top menu with lock action and ambiences.

So there's justHome, Events, Top menu and App Grid (and also coming Partner Space). That's it, no carousel-space-view-thingy.
