Hi,

after doing an update I've noticed that there is couple issues with the new version of Sailfish. I'd appreciate if you culd help in solving them:

1) How do I bring back icons on the bottom of the screen?

2) How do I go into 'standby' mode on swipe down from the top edge? I don't want to swipe and tap. I don't need to see all ambiences each time I do it.

3) How do I enter top swipe menu on the main screen(with Phone, Settings and Camera)?

4) My battery discharges pretty quickly after update. What may be the reason for that and how to fix it?

(In general new design looks better. These usability issues could be solved to improve it even more.)

I saw a some patches in harbour changing the ui, try to look there, not sure what exactly is there. And still, if you will not find patch you need, try to ask author of these patches to make this for you; i dont think you are alone. Personaly I am fine with current UI.

@Huholoman I think you mean OpenRepos, no patches are allowed in Harbour/Jolla Store (yet)

There are earlier questions about each of the issues you listed.

1) https://together.jolla.com/question/84682/hyc-dont-remove-favourites-from-home-screen/ (Quick answer: no easy solution for this yet, hopefully it will be fixed in future updates.)

2) https://together.jolla.com/question/107042/sailfish-os-20-bring-back-screenlock-when-swiping-from-top-at-homescreen-or-at-least-optional/ (Quick answer: You can use a patch to enable a quick lock gesture.)

3) https://together.jolla.com/question/107837/favorite-apps-pulley-menu-should-be-available-also-in-home-screen-in-sailfish-os-20/ (Quick answer: Same as 1)

4) https://together.jolla.com/question/111307/11928-heavy-battery-drain-even-in-stand-by/ (or several other questions, search for "battery drain" for example) (No quick answer...)

And possibly others, I just linked the ones I found quickly with a search.

For the battery drain, it is common that just after updating the battery level goes down faster than normally because the tracker is indexing files. But if the problem persists, it may be another issue.

But in general, you should have one issue per post, so that it can be properly voted for and closed if an answer is found. I'll close this question as duplicate, because all these things have been reported earlier.

According to Jolla, you are supposed to adapt to the new UI. The better solution is to install patchmanager from openrepos. There are a couple of patches available which solve many of the new bugs.
