Is there a decibel meter app that uses Jolla's microphone? I don't want to record, just measure the decibel level.

Edit: Lifting this up :)

Also had dB meter app on previous phone N9, but reliability to results is another matter. App does sure give readings, but what is the error ratio between phone app vs a proper dB meter device. App sure would be nice, but not so sure how useful though in reality.

@TimTTK maybe the noise-canceler 2nd microphone would help to get more accurate readings?

Perhaps and I hope we would get a good app that would be even fairly accurate. I definitely support the idea for a proper dB app.

I closed this with "released in a software update" because of the [released] tag.

Excellent. How do I adjust properties in DBMeter.hpp according to the app description?

Could this app be modified to become a rudimentary audio spectrum analyzer?

Why does it need an exit option in the pulley?

@objectifnul@vattuvarg@ApB please ask the developer. I am just a messager :)

objectifnul: DBMeter.hpp is not the place to ajust the properties ; description says the properties are defined in DBMeter.hpp ... to be setted in qml In SailDBMeter code, DBMeter object is now managed by qml file DBMeterController.qml In this file, you can find the calibration values for phone and tablet. The DBMeterController module takes also in charge the average and maximum computations, and refresh feature.

I found "AudioTool" by J.J.Bunn https://sites.google.com/site/bofinit/audiotool

there is a apk for direct installation to be found somewhere

as mentioned the accuracy of the spl readout is poor (due to jolla mic?) but it has lots of other great functions!
