Hi,

after two years full of hope, patience and disappointments I installed the last software update (1.1.9.28) for my Jolla. The caldav function is still not working.

All my calendar entries synced with old calendar versions where delayed for one hour. After upgrading the calendar is lost, but all the entries are still there. They have a black marker which obviously means that they are dead. I can't edit the entries, and cannot remove them. Unfortunately there are several repeated events that will stay forever.

After adding the caldav account again, hoping that I will get new caldav entries. I mus recognize that the new caldav account has no function at all. No error messages, no function just a caldav account that does not show up in the calendar.

And now ? Any solutions ?

I think this is a duplicate of: https://together.jolla.com/question/60486/all-dates-shifted-by-one-hour-in-calendar-after-updating-to-11038/?sort=votes&page=1 This is reported to be fixed by some users.

hello all, could it be that is totally broken since last update? (1.1.9.28) because it has worked something better in 1.1.7.x. there i could sync all my calendar events with my cozy cloud. now is nothing.

@cemoi71 nope I cannot confirm this as my caldav is working fine with my owncloud. Even the 1 hour problem (see first comment) does not appear anymore. Its working fine here

To remove the "dead" entries, I'd try to manually delete the Calendar database and then sync again.

Here's what I'd do:

  1. remove the CalDAV account
  2. open Terminal
  3. login as superuser by typing in devel-su and your root password
  4. type cd /home/nemo/.local/share/system/privileged/Calendar/mkcal
  5. then rm db and rm db.changed
  6. exit from Terminal
  7. reboot your Jolla
  8. re-create your CalDAV account and start sync from there

If everything goes well, you should be able to populate the Calendar and keep it in sync. If it doesn't and you still have "dead" events, you can start over the procedure above but skip point 8, so at least you will have a "clean" Calendar.

Hope this helps.

OK !!! This is definitely helpful. I followed your steps and everything looks quite good now. I would recommend to restart the phone to get the Birthdays added after removing the db file. The restart looks a bit longer but everything is in place :) The one hour bug is gone :)

I have to say for now :( hopefully this will work for longer than the next update.

Thanks again you saved my day !!!

Oh yeah @barmeier, I forgot to tell you to reboot the phone, sorry! I'm glad it's working now.

want just to tell that it is known from jolla, that it doesn't work well.
Just remark about the know issues on it by last release.
@chris.adams who is involved on its development, is working on it (with coworker i hope)

But seems to be totally broken since upgrade to 1.1.9.x. too
In sfos 1.1.7.x was better for me
Could someone confirm it?

please make any observations on it, which could help to go nearer on which version some things were better or got worse..
