Volume-rocker behavior in Settings gets stuck on playback-volume

Update: Sections 3+4 are the important bits to note, follow it through from 1. and you will be able to reproduce.

It seems to be a bug.

1) Go to Settings > System > Sound & Feedback.

1.1) Try to use hardware buttons - ringer volume will change, indicator bar with text "Ringer volume" will appear at the top of the screen, the corresponding slider on the screen will move.

2) Go to any event sound select srceen (i.e. email, message, etc).

2.1) Use hardware buttons to control the Volume - indicator bar with text "Volume" will appear at the top of the screen.

3) Go back to Settings > System > Sound & Feedback or further and even minimize Settings then and come back to it.

4) Use hardware buttons within Settings- vol-control will still be playback-volume (indicator bar with text "Volume" not Ringtone Volume will appear at the top of the screen). The Ringer volume slider on the screen will NOT move as it did before on this screen.

This is not a bug, because this behavior is the expected one by the developers. So we'd better to call it feature-request.

Wait. What behavior is expected - that described in 1.1 or in 3.1? There is DIFFERENT behavior on the SAME screen. So one of the cases is not expected.

Oh, now I understand. Opening sound selector make the volume buttons restricted for (playback) volume. Doesn't matter where you are in Settings app, since you opened the sound selector they won't change ringtone volume.

I agree. It can be a bug.

On (4) not only on that page but also on every other pages of Settings it will get stuck to playback volume.

You can reproduce it also on sound actions of ambiences.
