Improved camera sw

I wonder if the image quality could easily be improved. Studying the images it appears that they have quite heavy sharpening and possibly quite heavy compression. My suggestio to the Jolla team is:

  1. include a possibility of selecting sharpening with: a - none b - light c - normal d - heavy - possibly not an option

  2. Allow for variable compressio a - none b - light c medium d - heavy

This could hopefully improve image quality and colors as well. This should also be quite easy programming since these modules already exist in the software. It would also sllow sailfish users a more powerful camera than the competition. Tho heavy compression really is a bother for good pics.

Of course we are limited to what the optics and sensor can produce but I think these suggestions could be a simple and effective improvement.

I agree! + I would advocate for better WB processing and manulal WB option. If need to take a interier picture with artificial lighting, never reach real colors.

I have also observed this behaviour. By some reason the wb gives too warm colors. Maybe when the flash is on it diesnt give enough output alternatively gives too warm light. I'll make some tests this weekend and compare with my slr digital canera.
