Hy there,

is there any possibility to import my SMS from Nokia N9 to Jolla? These SMS are very important for me.

Consider this question already answered. I provided a link to the other question and guide there that provides a solution to this question.

Check this question where @merlin1991 proposes [an updated TMO post as an answer] (https://together.jolla.com/question/741/how-can-one-import-in-jolla-the-n900n9-call-history/?answer=2281#post-id-2281) Trying that soon to get call/sms history from N9 to Jolla.. I am just wondering does it still work even if I don't yet have a SIM card in my Jolla.. :P

It should. Call history and text messages are stored on the phone, not on the SIM, otherwise you'd get call/sms history by just switching SIM.

Currently there isn't a simple way of doing it, but there are some chatter about this in the talk.maemo.org.

Ok, Thank you. Now i tried over ssh on my N9 to export messages. But there is a problem:

libqtcontacts-tracker: queue.cpp:104: The task queue's background thread stalled

I think, first i should go and looking whats going wrong.

Apparently the delimiter used by N9 and Jolla are different. N9 uses comma and Jolla uses semicolon. Try manually editing the exported file and replace all commas (,) with semicolons (;).

It doesnt export complete. Its just stalled. My last backup is from August and has ~430Kb, this file now should have more. But it makes only a file with ~180kb.

Ok, now it was possible to export all SMS on N9 without problems. I don't know why?!

What kind of steps did you have to make?

Hi @linuxuser! I would like to suggest that you create another question (or comment on an existing one if there is... e.g. search for all questions tagged with "sms" and see if your question is already there). I also would like to delete this (non-)answer.
