First off, the tablet is just pure awesome, no doubt about it!

There is just this little bug, the tablet (semi-)suspends wifi when the screen is turned off (interrupting my listening to CuteSpot). This is pretty annoying as you might realize. Waking it up solves the problem instantly.

The only thing I found in the log that looks related is this:

Edit: ssh slows to a crawl too, if anything, at the same time.

Same here. SSH connection over wifi does not respond anymore when tablet locks / "suspends" and waking it up indeed solves the problem.

When the screen/display is turned off the wlan will be set to power save mode (PM_FAST instead of PM_MAX which would be even more deep power saving mode).

I can reproduce this issue with CuteSpot with high quality (320kbps) streaming but not with android Spotify with extreme quality (320kbps). Also dropping quality on CuteSpot to 160kbps seems to help, at least I wasn't able reproduce the problem anymore.

However the tablet is not _dropping_ the connection to AP when the display is turned off. It is just not waking up for every beacon but only 1/3 of the times. The policy is the same as on Android's "Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep" would be set to "Always"

I would suggest contacting CuteSpot developer handling the issue by increasing the buffer size or modifying the limits when the buffers should be refilled as the current limits seem to be way too low.

Yeah, seems you are quite correct. I was able to reproduce on the phone, but only after killing just about everything else.
