Is the previously published workaround to install Google play on Jolla phone safe to use on tablet? Any experiences?

I tried but didn't manage to get it working. Play store installs, but when I enter the credentials for my account I get forwarded to the web-login -- but there I get stuck. Somehow it doesn't register the device...
