I get this error when I try to run subdirs project with Desktop kit (SailfishOS IDE (Built on Oct 1 2015 at 11:51:27)):

  • 11:11:13: Cannot start SDK: Missing MerSDK information in the kit Error while building/deploying project untitled (kit: Desktop) When executing step 'Start SDK'

My steps to create the project: 1) New Project -> Other Project -> Subdirs Project 2) (I select location and all kits) -> Finish & add subproject 3) Other project -> Code snippet 4) (I select location in the folder of the parent project, all kits, headless and console application) -> Finish

My steps to build the project: 1) Select desktop, debug and deploy locally configuration 2) I try to build it and get the above error

I did it like that : in the same conditions (Missing MerSDK information in the kit).

  1. I de-install using the SDKMaintenanceTool.
  2. Then I remove the ~/.config/SailfishBeta7 (please remove also the SailfishBeta5 or so that you find there).
  3. Then I re-install the SDK and everything was fine again.

It seems something from an old version of the SDK is disturbing the proper functionning of the SDK.

Hope it helps!
