As in shortcuts to anything shortcuttable. Please take the time to comment with your choices from the below two menus :)

Possible locations:

  1. Lock-screen
  2. Home-screen
  3. included in the status bar
  4. Somewhere else
  5. Nowhere

Opinions:

  1. Very much, thank you
  2. Could probably make my life better
  3. Do not care
  4. Makes things worser than it already is
  5. Not a goddamn chance I will ever use such thing

UI of smartphone is already made of shortcuts by design. And it is configurable - i.e. Favorites in Settings. Why do we need more unless we have complex hierarchy as in Settings somewhere else in UI?

@kandelabra very valid point, thanks, please write down your vote if you can! :) EDIT : why only limit this possibility to settings app?

@kandelabra A shortcut is a quick way to get somewhere. If I wanted to give my phone to my 5 years old child (not that I want to, but if I did), then placing two icons on the main screen to "call mummy" and "call daddy" would come in very handy. As would shortcuts to pages you visit frequently, apps you launch often (remember the outcry when favourites were removed?), settings you change often (another outcry)...
