I would like to show my battery usage with a graphic that show last charge in days: uptimer do it on my N9 for instance (see here for illustration).

Notes:

  • it is not the same thing as classical battery graphs (%charge, ...)
  • battery usage like on Android as already been asked here.

Few apps that do that, or similar things:

  • Uptimer by Two Euro Apps (MeeGo)
  • BatterGraph by George Ruinelli, Swiss (Maemo and MeeGo )

The only battery application found is the newly "Hunger Meter" from the Jolla Store (added Jan 24 2014?)

@Kondou: it is talking about battery, OK, but I'm asking for graphical data concerning last charges, not "Detailed battery usage – sort of like android has it".

By the way I've already voted for your question...

I've removed "Battery Usage by Vincit, Finnish (MeeGo and Symbian)" because I'm not sure I do what I want...

That's why I said "Related", not "Duplicate" :)

There is one battery application available at Openrepos.net called battery monitor - Check it out.

It is quite simple app though....

Yes, information about battery history is needed to track problematic consumption situations. (The Hunger Meter application shows only history for a very short time, you can not know what is happening when you are not using your phone.)

I would suggest an daemon taking hourly snapshot of battery level, which could be shown as a few days graph.

Hi, do you remember the BatterGraph app from N9 and N900. It was a free app in the N900 but for N9 the costs were about 1€ which was completely fine. I think we should contact the developer, George Ruinelli a Swiss guy who has done a lot of great apps for Maemo/Meego! However there might be also other great apps which can be ported and the one you mentioned. Also VTT-Finland had done an battery-usage-app just called (Battery Usage by Vincit a Finnish guy) for MeeGo and for Symbian. I agree, a graphical battery usage monitor is essential! Let's vote for that!!!

As mentioned in https://together.jolla.com/question/542/detailed-battery-usage/ I'm working on a resource monitor for SailfishOS. Maybe I can include this functionality (looks interesting), but not in the first version(s).

Great, Thanks!

By the way, what do Uptimer and BatterGraph do with the statistics if you recharge your battery only partly ?

Winfried ( 2014-01-16 22:23:22 +0300 )edit

@Winfried: Uptimer simply show last charge (even if it is partial). Man could consider it as "how often do I need to charge my phone".
