Hey Jollafans:)

Im seriously considering getting the Jollaphone very soon. My question is how its running nowadays with the new Sailfish OS 2.0? Hows the battery life and general performance of it? Is it still snappy with the hardware? Hopefully it will be supported moving forward with updates for some time .

Would you still recommend getting one now 2015?

After the latest update it feels snappier than ever. Although it was snappy before already. Battery drainage comparison with previous version is tough after a few hours of availability ;-)

it's running smoothly and battery performance is just fine (2-3 days). If you need a phone right now, you can get it. Or you can wait for 3-6 months for another (intex, fairphone)

It runs better and better. Update by update it gets way better! You could go with the #HADK if you need a stronger hardware (Jolla phone is good enough).

Neat, thanks for all comments. Yeah i have been seeing the Intex phone too. But the only difference would be the processor largely. As long as it performance great, what hardware it has becomes less important. That something i noticed were quite the opposite with Android;)

The Jollaphone is a steal when you don't mind it being a bit chunky. Performance is pretty good, some apps tend to start a bit slow but you can just leave them open anyways, due to multitasking. Battery performance is awesome, I can get 3-4 days but I disconnect manually and use an app called Situations to send it sleeping during the night. Only thing I don't like about it is maybe the screen. I guess the fairphone has a better one. Also, since fairphone is designed for repair you have a much easier time getting parts once something breaks. BUT: The Fairphone is more than 500€....
