Idea: use volume hard keys to adjust brightness too
I'd quite like to be able to adjust the brightness level with the hardware keys. You could have a 'code' which isn't likely to be entered by mistake to change between volume and brightness modes, e.g. up-down-up in quick succession.
I reckon as long as you explained it in the tutorial it wouldn't cause too many problems.
Hei,
Like some multimedia displays do:
Start with 'up' (then up, or down) changes brightness
Start with 'down' (then down, or up) changes volume
LVPVS out.
LVPVS ( 2015-10-27 20:30:07 +0300 )edit@LVPVS - not a bad idea, but it'd take adjustment, and be unintuitive if you lent your phone to someone. The advantage of having some kind of sequence for switching is if you make it reasonably complicated and unlikely to trigger by accident, you wouldn't have to think about it if you didn't want to...
MikeHG ( 2015-10-27 22:43:09 +0300 )editI just checked and the volume rocker can be pressed in both directions at once. Thus you could hold up and repeatedly press down to lower brightness, and hold down and repeatedly press up to increase brightness.
Because, who in their right mind would press both sides of a rocker at the same time, right? :D
At least i can also do it with just my thumb.
