When downloading, capturing photos or saving about anything with Android browser / app, the files are not accessible within Sailfish (not in transfers / gallery / media.. not anywhere). However, native Sailfish camera images are accessible for certain Android Apps (tested with GO Launcer EX gallery). I'd rather see this problem another way around, or even better, file access in both ways. Any ideas how this could be solved without terminal = for average users too?

I've been wondering the same. But that should be implemented with great care not to allow android apps to drop malware into filesystem etc (installing an apk is quite easy as there's currently no confirmation or app-specific permissions asked for this-and-that capability).

As a temporary solution: Did you try CargoDock (Sailfish, Jolla store) or OI File Manager (Android, Yandex store)? These file managers allow you to copy files (and folders) between folders -- and seem to have access to the whole file system. CargoDock may need developer mode activated to access the whole file system, but it shows you in either mode a "place" Android Storage, where you should find your Android files.

Thanks @Neo, didn't find that with search. I suppose closing is ok, as that's an older one - and as said there too, the fix is on the way, just without ETA.

Not yet fixed in 1.0.8.19 (Tahkalampi) it seems.

after installing File Browser from Store and going to /data/sdcard/Downloads you could have access to those files if only the permissions on that dir were set correctly ... will try to find out why the dir is only superuser readable and ask for a fix. Stay tuned.

Thanks for your answer, this offers an easy temporary solution. I wish that the access will be fixed furthermore (for apps too).
