Option to disconnect/lock SIM in airplane mode

It would be interesting to lock SIM card when going in airplane/zero-connection mode since the connection to GSM network is not needed any more. This behavior can be seen on some (all ?) android but I'm not sure if it's optional or not (optional is obviously preferred).

The impact of this would be the necessity to enter the PIN code after restoring connection.

If EAP-SIM is implemented, PIN would have to be entered too when activating an EAP-SIM WLAN in airplane mode.

Isn't flight-mode enough, why do you need to disconnect the SIM?

Simply as a security mesure. In particular, it assures me that the GSM/modem is completely off (at least off my operator network)

@Triton Understood, never needed that myself, though ;)
