Had this situation several times by now:

  1. Phone is in the pocket (not sure if it matters, but maybe some button is pressed without me knowing it)
  2. Somebody calls me, I hear the call
  3. I take phone out of the pocket, screen is black, phone is still ringing
  4. Double-tap doesn't help, power button press doesn't help
  5. In panic I try tapping and power button more and sometimes proper calling screen is shown for half a second and then it's black again
  6. I think phone continues ringing even after the call if over already
  7. I reboot (via long power button press) and see a missed call

Anybody else had something similar?

Noticed the same issue every time, when the call partner ends the call while I have the phone on my ear. The screen is black and the phone does not respond to any input (screen, lockbutton).

Yes, I also had some strange behaviours, like you describe it. In one case, the calling app was "broken" (strange dots on the screen) after a call I couldn't answer. After rebooting the phone, everything was ok again.

Haven't had any problems yet with calling app, but I'll keep an eye on it. But I had two situations where the screen stayed black and phone didn't respond anymore (had to reboot it). So that might be a similar issue.

Similar happened to me once - a quick glimpse of "incoming call screen" than it is gone, device kept ringing, but otherwise functioned OK. There was no "Call" cover on home screen, no way to accept or reject the call. After approx. 20 sec Call screen appeared.

Black as in off or black as in you can see that the screen turned on? If the latter, did you try pushing down, as in closing an application?

Confirm this bug, happend to me sometimes after last update 1.1.7.

Problem: Incoming call, phone ringing, but screen is black.

My workaround:

  1. Press power button shortly, see main screen

  2. Scroll down, press "Phone" application, after this I see incoming call screen, but with just a number, NOT caller name from phone book

  3. Pull down and everithing ok
