[feature request] FAX send and receive

Ancient technology and still so valuable in most offices. I am wondering why no phoneOS provides proper FAX services.

Hmm, could be funny take a Photo by documentscanner and fax it away... Yes, some companys prefer facsimilies (timestamp and sendernumber seems more documentary proof than email)

there is an Android app called fax pro I'm using quite often - works brilliant on the jolla - it's a paid app though and requires an external service provider like sipgate ...

You don't need an app. There are a lot of email-to-fax services. Some of them even (claim to be) free. I cannot vouch for any of them personally - the service I used the last time I had a need for a fax does not exist any more. That was about 15 years ago.
